Give me a small town single A high school sub state game in a small packed out gym in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of good ole people than a private school game in a 2 million dollar gym any day

Here we go again , every year about this time we hear Hampton hasn't faced a team like blah blah blah this year

Pretty sure there's not gonna be a slaughter....Best game I've saw all season is what I'm hoping for..... SOS means nothing at this point in the season. BTW I'm glad to see Jones made it back. Broke m

 Now I come back to Earth Uknoit, this one will be tough as heck. It very well could be the best team we've faced all season.I do think we have a chance but it will surely be worth the price of admission. If I were a Vegas guy ,I would call this one Even.

 Now I come back to Earth Uknoit, this one will be tough as heck. It very well could be the best team we've faced all season.I do think we have a chance but it will surely be worth the price of admission. If I were a Vegas guy ,I would call this one Even.

 

Even for sure and I in no way would lay a dime on it...Home court is a HUGE advantage...

I'm pretty sure most of us would agree with that, small town pride is hard to beat.

SHOOT! There will be fur a flying and cat screams heard for miles when the DOGS lay into those Tigers!

 

Okay, now I'M back down to Earth Pujo....Shewwwww this is to be a war without doubt.....Probably haven't faced a team that could run with the DOGS for 4 qtrs and shoot as well at the same time...We were up on those suckers by 19 twice last March....TWICE! And we into overtime because they came back to tie and lead twice....TWICE! So, yea, its ON!

 

I was hoping to avoid this replay. But, on the bright side it always good to watch my two favorite teams in my old high school. I hope to see another great game between two great teams. I know Ned will have his team ready. It's always a great atmosphere in the dawg house!!!

I'm with the others calling this even.

One of the best atmospheres in TN HS sports....Not many left like this one...That's why I cringe to hear consolidation!

      I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!

      My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.

      Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
