I think most all of the teams, barring a few in district 3AAA can beat any team on any given night, but I would give a slight edge to Karns, Central, or Powell to win it, with Gibbs with an outside chance. We lost to Powell and Central both by very slim margins and even beat Karns, so us winning it wouldn't shock me either to be flat honest. Baseball is a terribly unpredictable sport, especially at the HS level.

Totally agree. Pitching depth is so important in these tournament settings, so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Thanks!  Should be interesting to see how region shakes out.  Being a district 4 guy, I know that FHS and HV are strong but probably not as strong as last year.  Bearden is also right there with them.  But I believe Karns, Gibbs, and Powell from district 3 can win the region if things go right.  OR and Central could also end up coming out of the district 3 tourney.

Farragut beat Gibbs in a close game on Throwback night; however, they used 6 pitchers to do it.  Gave the start to an upcoming freshman and moved on from there.  Gibbs' pitcher did well against their hitters.  I wonder how their bats would fair against the top pitchers on the Farragut team.  I still see Farragut winning out, but it won't be easy.  Run support is the key for the team. Powell has the pitcher most concerned about in Alford.  All around great player.  It's going to be fun to watch this play out!

The bracket is split into two halves, with the top two seeds hosting (Karns and Gibbs). Gibbs was eliminated from their half, but will still host the Powell-Halls game tonight, to my knowledge.
