I wonder at this late date if they hire within. Hardy is a good coach and whomever gets him even as an assistant will be getting a fine asset.

It could have been due to health. I noticed that Shelbyville had just recently posted an ad on the TSSAA site about assistant coaches. Perhaps the powers that be weren't comfortable making suggested coaching hires and the coach responded by submitting his resignation. That is a very common reason for why coaches jump from job to job nowadays. There are few school systems that are loyal to athletics.

They have a principal that fully supports all of the athletic teams! Very athletic friendly.
