1. Hendersonville

3. Hillsboro

4. Beech

5. Gallatin

6. Station Camp

7. Glencliff

8. Hunters Lane

As selected by the coaches.

I think Cane Ridge should swap with Hendersonville in the first 2 spots. And HL should probably be better than Glencliff. Spots 3-6 will be a dogfight. 2 good teams will not make it this year.

Preseason recognition this year goes to DJ Thorpe QB from Cane Ridge, Emari Barton DB from Cane Ridge, Jordan Mason RB from Gallatin, Jordan Amis TE from Hendersonville, Daly Cull OL from Hendersonville, Julian Houston OL from Hillsboro, Ben Hutch DL from Hillsboro and Michael Iacob SpTeam from Beech. All are preseason All State from the region.

It looked pretty good against Smyrna in the spring. Hatfield always gets the best out of his players.

Had a pretty good showing in spring just hope it continues into summer camp. How'd gallatin look in spring? Mainly asking about up front and the qb situation? I said this a couple of months ago but gallatin is my dark horse to be right in the thick of things for a region title.. A lot of talent on that team and to much tradition to not be playing at the top every year

Looked really good considering most of the starting skill players were not there. I figured about 9 or 10 starting positions were not there due to other sports. Line looks to be in good shape with several returning starters. Defense should be a huge improvement with all the starters coming back.

Gallatin competes on the 12th at Smyrna, with Shelbyville and Franklin in a 4 way 7on7. They then have 7on7 at Mt Juliet Chr with Station Camp and Glencliff and others. Saturday they have a 7on7 at Gallatin. I know Hendersonville has a camp this coming week at Austin Peay. Hillsboro and Beech are at the Riverdale 7on7. Who else goes at it this week?

The Gallatin MJ game is setting up to be a really good game between what should be two good teams. A big game for both.

^^^ It's one of the week 1 games where the team that loses doesn't need to feel like the season is heading in a bad direction at 0-1, unless they get blown out. Then there's problems.Although Gallatin better be well aware that the Bears want nothing more than a win over Gallatin this year, they had better come to play a great game. Last 3 years wins have been decided in the last couple minutes.

I think it will be a packed house in MJ when it is all said and done. Mt Juliet should have a solid year and I think Gallatin may be better than most think. I know the Golden Bear faithful want nothing more than to start the year off with a win against Gallatin.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
