I am hopeful that you will see a solid Blackman team, and I don't believe the line is as suspect as some former critics might have said

Seems Blackman has some questions heading into the season. A young line and a QB coming off an injury could make for some struggles. They need to air it out as much as possible.

I don't believe they will be as suspect as some think. the line was fairly dominant against an Ootlewah, Stewarts Creek,Franklin and Overton in the last few scrimmages. You might take a look at some of the highlights. The qb while new has experience. He has been running the blackman offense for 3  years. 2 at the middle school and 1 year as a freshman qb. He only spent 1 year (last year) as the wide out, because of his speed. He is one of the fastest players on the team and could be dangerous on the run and with his arm. I say he has alot more speed and is could be much more elusive than Jennings was and has every bit the arm he had .

    • They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.
    • Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)
    • If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.
    • And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
    • Close, after watching today I will take Alcoa and Meigs in the winers bracket games.
