Well if the injuns had just played all their required district games, we'd know Booger. Not sure how a team that opted not to play their district games against ND or CCS should be qualified to make the district playoffs? At least the other teams showed up and played. Safer to take the 3-0 forfeit loss maybe.

That said, Squatch is a much improved program. They finally have their own new field to practice and play on and apparently a growing youth program. Cudos to them but no matters what happens, they'll be in an easier district next year.

Tarp just sayin'

they have had a long history of dodging their chattanooga area district games; especially against the Irish; though they have stepped up and played a few of them over the last couple of years.....and no; they shouldnt be able to play post season; but Booger thinkin that Lane feller has that smoozed out with T$$AA.....one might could kinda understand with some of the teams with travel distances and all; but thats noit the case with Squatchy.....it was just a pure dodge of play so that this years record could be padded.....Jackson County should b playin in the 4th district spot....Jackson did show up and at least play the Sword of Joshua Independent Full Pentecostal Assembly down on Charger Drive....

....and to think Squatchys biggest wigwam dweller has been on this thread yellin and complainin cause some teams want post their stats to the TFP....as he said, "Just a comparison for postseason stuff later."

its the parents, coach, AD/Principle making those bailout calls; not the girls;...so grats to the girls on what they have done....who nose; with Squatchy great record, they mighta got their first ever win on the Irish

  • 2 weeks later...

Since Middle Valley Magic retired, I will throw out this top 10:

1) CCS - team to beat state-wide in A/AA

2) Baylor - can't wait until next year when they move to the newly created Division III

3) GPS - they will get the eyeball test this weekend

4) Notre Dame - very balanced, final record might be 5-5-5 going into playoffs

5) East Hamilton - Coach Hill finally has some depth

6) Walker Valley

7) Boyd

8) Cleveland

9) McMinn Central

10) Sequatchie County - their average margin of victory in pre-season is 16

Wow, what an oversight leaving out Soddy-Daisy.

first time in quite sometime the Lady Fighting Irish have had to travel for a district or region playoff game.....Murfreesboro Magnet has given CCS all they wanted over the last 2 or 3 years when playin on their home field.......ND has had a down; but an important redwemption win against North Red Bank Mountain last week in a district playoff ro move on.....

Murfreesboro has a record of 13-6......ND 4-11-2

the Lady Irish r in the post season; they will scrap

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
