Clarksville Academy does have a really good QB. He transferred before his freshman year from Clarksville High school for political reasons from what i was told.  Wish we would have got him here at Rossview! Not sure about the rest of the team. They have a good coaching crew. I know Wayne county is a good program. Could be a long night for CA.

Don't think this game will be like last year but the cats come out on top for their first region win of the year. Even though we had some problems in the second half last week, cats are a getting to where I thought we should be at all along on both sides of ball. Plus, we getting some guys back this week and next that are playmakers. We startin' to hit our stride!

I think when this game is over the score will be about the same as last year

Hope u right! Haven't seen any film in them. Can't remember what they may have lost, but I know we jumped on them fast. HOLD EVERYTHING... The QB is the same as we faced last year, I think? Their main qb was hurt. The crampy cats will hopefully be ready to play.

I may be wrong but I think their qb graduated but they got a new one that transferred in that's supposed to be good

Our QB last year was a senior (Conn), but he was injured most of the year. I can't remember if he played against y'all or not. Our QB now is a sophomore (Robinson), he played some last year when Conn was injured.

I'm ready for this game to get going. We won a game last week on one leg. Scotts Hill has a pretty good team but there's no way that game is close if the cramp bug had not come into play. One thing for sure Scott's Hill didn't quit. They played hard all night, but don't think they were better than the first team cats to think they should have won the game. Maybe they were in better shape but not better in talent. I know excuses....I think we are getting better and if we put together a whole game like we did the first half, we going to be tough to deal with. It's time to get it done. Time to move on and show people just how good we can be. Look out foes, I think we are turning the corner.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
