Henry County vs West Creek

West Creek will most likely not win a game this year. New coach is trying to turn things around, but they have a brutal schedule in and out of the region. Pats roll.

Seems to me that Henry Co. runs thru there region easily but don't win many non region games.  Are there non region games against really good teams or is there a let down.  Don't know much about teams except Gallatin has usually been good.

HC was 9-2 in non region games from '09-'13. But is just 4-5 in them since '14. HC really hasn't been all that great the last couple of years.

That isn't what I said. Still been good. Just not great. Our record against other good-great teams over that time speaks to that.

 

We've had some stiff competition for the non-region games the last few years between Liberty, Ridgeway, and this year's Gallatin team.

Henry County has always scheduled tough non region opponents going all the way back to the 90's when our only two non region games were Brentwood Academy and MBA. It's a good measuring stick and definitely points out weaknesses. It just doesn't look good on the record...and sometimes that's all people go by when judging a team's success.

Our freshmen defeated a previously unbeaten Lexington frosh squad tonight 34 to 0. Lexington was playing without their QB who was injured last week but demonstrated a stout running game.However, fumbles and pretty stout defensive play by the Patriots was the difference.Most , if not all, of the boys played These boys are fun to watch and offer high hopes for the future,Several may be playing sooner.

Nothing wrong with playing good competition. Heck, I'd like to get a home and home with Whitehaven if we could. Be great for west TN. Would also love to play Milan if we could get them for something besides a scrimmage.
