Predicting 4A Classification 2017

Anyone have a clue what Fayette-Ware's enrollment is?

I haven't seen it yet. I think it may increase as more people have been moving into Fayette County. There were some new numbers posted today, Crockett Co increased to 858, so they will be 4A and Fairley lost almost 200 students and looks like they may fall to 1A

How long before the final results are known? Isn't it sometime in October?

That would put 2A at 55 and 3A at 42. I doubt they do that. The way I split the classes, all classes are within 47 to 50.

I don't believe Obion Co enrollment will change enough to move out of 4A. But, Fayette-Ware might increase enough to go to 4A and who knows about Farley and MLK Prep at the bottom of 3A. They could lose enough students to go to 2A.

Depending on if TSSAA wants to keep the regions with same number of teams, I could see them putting Haywood in Region 8 also.

I'm late to the party, TSSAA would not do a 55 / 42 split because the actual ruling for 2017 was to have 6 equally sized classes. However... In D-II the classes will be based on specific numbers. I'm not sure a lot of people realize that nuance regarding D-I classification. Not sure how many total D-I schools there are but my guess is 6A will be larger than the current 32 teams.
