Maybe a little of both. 

I wouldn't say we are bad, but just not playing good ball right now. Meigs came out fired up. Turnovers have given them 2 TDs.

You don't score you don't win. I have seen the issue since a few years back maybe 6 or 7 when I seen Boyd running the read option spread with a freshman QB. They have won some game with talent but when that talent level isn't what it has been, it starts to show. The offense has sputtered for a while now, and it's starting to catch up to them. Just saying

Not sure about saying improved. I'd say playing like they should have been all year.
