Players,

I did not see the Memphis player on this wesite, http://mocnation.yuku.com/forums/74/Chattanooga-Mocs-Soccer

Its possible she has not announced yet.

She announced early last week. I'm not familiar with that website? I found out through a Lobos parent and then confirmed it via other avenues. :)

I did see on that website two kids from Knoxville in the 2019 class that committed. One is from Webb and I've seen them play for three years now and am not sure who she is? With those two thats three total for 2019 already which seems pretty early. Gavin/Martin are working it pretty hard.

I Google the college and the message board of the sport you are interested in. They usually are pretty up to date on what is happening with a program. Some schools do not have them, though.

I'm happy for UTC and Gavin. He's just a class guy and has always been good to my daughter and family. I would have no problem if she chose to play for him someday.

Nope. I know they were going to move kids around to different positions like most schools and they were excited.

Saw Belmont last week and they had one shot in the first half. They played their 3-5-3 and had their midterm freshman playing alot. Surprised a bit at their attack but I'm sure they will sort it out.

I wouldn't put much stock in any of these games though. Still think TTU will be good and challenge Lipscomb/Vandy/UT for best in state.

Heard l UTC's sophomore committ from Webb played well in a 3-1 loss Saturday. Big centerback that has a bright future ahead of her. That 2019 group could be very good for UTC. Sumatra from TSC might be the key recruit. :)

Has Sumatra committed? I did not see her name on the MocNation website.

No she hasn't. She's a kid that will excel in college and has coaches talking. Her teammates and centerbacks Harper White (Clemson/U16 National Pool) and Angela Steidl are very very good players for the 2019 class. Sitting behind them is GK Devine who is a national pool calibar player per college coaches I've talked to.

I'm most familiar with the 2019's because of my daughter. Lots of talented players all across the state in that age group.

I wonder what the positional breakdown is for UTC's 2019 commits and how that will play out with the 2020s?

Thats a good question? I think the Webb kid is a centerback and the Lobos kid can play forward and in the mid? I would think they will have kids that are fairly versatile but I'm not sure.

Mountain are they looking at any 2020's you know?

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
