From Moodie at Carson Newman to McKinney at Cumberland College, no one stays at the lower levels when given a better opportunity. ant a hundred % tru, tho its almost always about the moola.....but, Not exaclty all of them r in a hurry to move up and shed their winnin records......to lose tho their all bein wished the best of luck, especially that Fraser guy at LMU Booger just sayin
MountainVol
A winning coach/player always wants to test themselves against the best. Moodie could have stayed at CN and continued beating up on Our Sisters of the Poor schools, but his pride and competitive spirit prompted him to accept a higher challenge. What coaches do you know of who want to stay in the JV?

What coaches do you know of who want to stay in the JV? lets let ole Booger give a shot to that big ole question MountainVol tossed out there......see if U heard of any of these coaches ........uhhhhhh.....how bout the Fickles guy from the DII powerhouse in Colorado....thats not Booger fair; u never heard of him Booger will keep MountainVol closer to home uhhhhhh......how bout Entlich that was recently at Columbus forever uhhhhhh.....how bout Sue down at Emory uhhhhhh....ever heard of Cowell that used to be a Sewanee, now out in Texas uhhhhhh....heck, lets even thro ole Joy in from Tusculum.....at least 75 % wins over 20-25 years Booger nose that point of argument u were tryin to makin didnt quite work out the way u wanted; especially if U look up those coaches winnin percentages and time at the JUNIOR VARSITY level......not sure exaclty what the percentages r, but they nock a massive hole into your assumption Booger wishin Moodie all the luck in the world cause he is a very good one; but that arrangement of old worn out buildins he just bailed out of up in Jefferson City ant no fort knox of riches.........if it wernt for Falwell (bless his soul), Pat Robertson and the Grahams; it would have sunk.....and those Brittany Spears late night fund raiser concerts at the convention r the only thing keepin that place flotain just above those Sisters of the Poor Schools Booger just sayin
MountainVol
Those are a few exceptions in a universe of hundreds and hundreds of schools. I still contend if you truly want to challenge yourself, the JV is not going to get it. It does work fine for some people, though.

MountainVol
I was just contending I am not sure how much one would want a coach who kept turning down bigger opportunities to stay at a lower level.

Playerscoach
Saw the final preseason game vs Belmont. A 3-0 loss. Belmont capitalized off some mistakes in the back and UTC subbed liberally. Belmont played to win like a regular season contest. The tall, atheltic forward Arnold was impressive and barring injury could easily be all conference someday. Tonight, UTC beat Austin Peay 3-2. Peay beat them last year and was the better team most of that game IMO. UTC has some talented sophomores and fresman with his 2018 commitments being tall, fast, and skilled kids who will compete immediately for playing time.
