But what does the scriptures say. I'm pretty sure most believe one MUST be Baptized and saved.  I've never read an alternate choice.

Catholics believe a baby must be sprinkled or they will go to punishment if they were to die....The scripture is very plain and clear that one must first believe that Jesus is the Son of God, they must repent and also must confess, with their mouths, their faith in Jesus as the Son of God before they are saved....Babies, children and mentally challenged can not do so.

Not that I disagree but the Bible plainly states that there is only ONE way unto salvation.

Luke 13: 3, 5....One of many verses

Romans 10: 9....One of many verses

Mark 16:16....Acts 2: 38...Just a couple of many verses

Important word in Romans 10:9 is "shall"....a future tense word....One that really believes will repent, confess and be baptized....For these things (directions, commands) were sent from Jesus in Heaven

An infant, children and mentally challenged can not do those things

I've never paid much attention to the Catholic teachings. They do make good football players. Maybe we need to sprinkle our kids.

Its untelling how many very small children get saved. I've never thought that made any sense. Hard to make a lifes choice when you are 6 years old.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
