Lopez has been scouting Gallatin for a few weeks if you follow his account. And Hillsboro does have the horses. Big and fast ones. Big Ben is impressive!! Beech will have their hands full. Only negative were the penalties.

I didn't mean that in a negative way. Everyone knows to beatbgallatin you have to stop Mason. Watching Hillsboro earlier in the year and seeing film on them, I knew they had the athletes, just wasn't sure about the composure of this group. They can either be mediocre or great. Appears Gallatin got the latter.

Well I will say what you will not hear. The open date killed the momentum from a big Hendersonville win. Hillsboro got to refine their game the last 2 weeks and it showed. Gallatin now has their backs up against a wall. Playing the undefeated region champs for a playoff spot.

Would be nice if we would have scheduled Mcgavock, East Nashville and Siegel as easy win-non-region games like Hendersonville did. That loss to 6a region champion Mount Juliet is going to bite us in the butt.

Wow, would like to see a comparison of everyone's non district non region schedule over the past 10 years. I believe ours would stack up pretty well. 2 years ago when the schedule was made I believe McGavock won 8 or 9 games and MJ was a 5 or 6 win team. Now MJ is region champion and McGavock is not very good, I guess everyone saw that one coming. We did win 10 games 3 years in a row and when you do that not everyone is calling you wanting to play. Maybe there were some teams not too far away who were not interested. No apologies for our schedule. Congrats to the Wave on their season so far and I believe they will account themselves well against the Ravens. Best region in the state in 5A.

How did that work out for your Hendersonville prediction?

Worked out well last night. You better hope we beat Hillsboro this week or you face Independence in the first round of the playoffs. Tell you what, we will help you out this week and get you to third place by beating the Burros. Will not be easy as they are pretty good but we will get it done. Good job last night Bucs!!

They get renewed every two years. And Siegel hasn't been good in 4. Mcgavock is usually decent, but never really good. Of course none of us knew they would be as bad as they are this year. East Nashville, that is a game scheduled that you guys would be favored to win many more times than not. I won't knock your overall 10 years past of scheduling, I know its been pretty good. BUT, I would definitely compare Gallatin's past 10 with it. Lots of Boro games against Oakland, Blackman & Smyrna mixed in, Hillsboro was scheduled after winning the 4a state title, Henry County, Canton Ohio. Like I said though, usually Hville does schedule up a pretty good non region. But you guys were HEAVILY favored in all 3 non region games this year. Then you mix in Glencliff & Hunters Lane in our region, that's basically an automatic 5 wins in the bag to start the year.

Also. 2,4,6 years ago, 5 or 6 wins could get you in the playoffs. Now, 5 won't cut it at all, and you better pray that 6 will. So with that said, I see why teams would schedule up easier non region matchups. Because they count for more than people give credit to. Overall record.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
