1 A Mr. Football Nominee Brandon Moore

Submitting Brandon Moore as a candidate for the 1-A Mr. Football award.  In his Junior year at Fayetteville High School, through eight games played, he has accumulated 1713 all-purpose yards (averaging 15.1 yards per touch). 

 

OFFENSE:

Rushing:  1036 yards in 87 carries for 17 Touchdowns

Receiving:  357 yards in 12 receptions for 5 Touchdowns

Punt returns:  258 yards in 10 returns, with two (2) returns for Touchdowns

 

DEFENSE:

58.5 tackles

7 tackles for loss

2 forced fumbles, 1 recovered

Interception returns:  62 yards in one interception for a Touchdown

Great kid and a great athlete

Brandon Moore is a great young man, both on and off the field.  I had the pleasure of coaching him in youth football, and I can attest that he has maintained the 15+ yards per carry average since beginning to play the game at 5 years old!  He has exceptional character, and is also an honor roll student.  Brandon Moore is very deserving of the Class 1A "Mr. Football" award in my opinion.

Guys, I am sure this young man is a good player, but if anyone thinks that anyone besides Dresser Winn and Preston Rice will get any votes for winning the award they have lost their mind. I will go out further on a limb. I would say Dresser Winn's name is already engraved on it. This race is like the 2016 presidential race. It's OVER.

Good post MadV! This kid sounds like a fine player and should get recognition for his accomplishments on and off the field!

I have seen this kid play a couple of times. Against my team he scored from 70+ yards receiving on the 1st play from scrimmage. The 2nd time he touched the ball he went 70+ yards on the ground. And the first pass we threw all game he picked off and took it in for a TD from over 65+ yards out!!! Fun kid to watch

I'm sure the other kids are more deserving and I haven't seen them play, but you'll never convince me there is anyone more electrifying in 1A to watch! Good luck Brandon, you make Region 4A proud!!

True, but that would be premature. I assume this thing is based on stats alone and hype.
