Its mind boggling a guy with those stats is left off that list?? Who nominates the players because they royally messed up by not including him.

If you add in punt and kick returns he has almost 3,000 yards and is a lock down CB.

I've never seen anything like this.

It happens every year. Some deserving young man isn't included.

Well I agree to an extent but this player leads all rushers and is from a program that has produced four Mr Football award winners and three state championships. Its not like the kid is from an unknown school playing bad competition. He's a known commodity by two thirds of the state.

Memphis had three kids? Really?

1. Enlighten the 1/3 of the state where he isn't a "known commodity" as to the identity of "Walker" and the "unknown school."  I'm  assuming he's on a II-A team in middle or east TN

2. Just as I know nothing about "Walker" do you know anything about the the 3 Memphis players?  Needless to say, they have impressive stats too.

Look Im not arguing the merits of other kids. Good for them because the powers that be voted for them. However, a guy with 3000 all purpose yards should never be left off a Mr Football nomination list.

East and Middle TN know exactly who he is.

I went to the Tennessean website and discovered that "Walker" is Jayden Walker of DCA.  Don't understand why you were so nebulous about the identity of the player and school and forced me to find out on my own. Readers who live in Memphis and don't follow II-A - like myself - probably don't know who you are talking about.

I wasn't being nebulous. Walker has been mentioned in here before.

Total sham Walker wasnt up for D2 back. 2000 yards rushing and another 600 all purpose.

Its a disgrace. Hayden did not have a huge year stat wise and got ejected last week. Walker just has the misfortune of not having that last name it appears. Gray had a monster year for the best team in the state. I think some of this comes down to the East & West writers do a better job than the Mid TN writers do at pushing kids and getting them the votes needed. There is a huge indifference in Mid TN for DII A football.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
    • They’re building something special there. They have 4 Varsity games scheduled & 5 JV. They are trying for a 5th Varsity game. Beat them now because they will be good in the future. They are building a football field there I think but the rich pricks of Farragut won’t let them get lights so they are possibly looking at property to build a stadium & field with lights
