Goodpasture at Fairview Round 2

Great season for Fairview winning the district and going 11-1. They'll be back next year.

Goodpasture is a tough football team. When they got hard headed late and started running off tackle it demoralized Fairview. The injury to Caldwell was a turning point. The momentum really swung on the personal foul flag 1/3 of the way through the 4th. That was when Goodpasture seemed to crank up the intensity and took control of the game.

Goodpasture now hosts CPA in what promises to be a classic next week.

Yea good job to the Fairview ROTC the halftime ceremony for the Vets was really cool!

For the Yellow Jackets #1 is going to be good and all who play Fairview in the future should watch out for this kid.

Fairview's #4 is a faster than advertised and very slippery.  I think the Cougars kept grinding it and eventually worn down the Yellow Jackets.  Another come from behind victory for the Cougars who now host CPA next week at home.

Chris Hughes has done an excellent job at Fairview for years now. He had his team ready to play.

Both teams had a bad fumble that set the other up for a score. Goodpasture on the first play of game and Fairview in the 4th as they were trying to retake the lead. Both teams missed a field goal. It was a hard hitting physical game between two really evenly matched teams. Enjoyed watching it.

Fairview should be very proud of their team this year. Great speed. They were not very big up front, but they got the job done. The new alignment will benefit them next year.
