Morristown West @ South Doyle in 5A quarterfinals

This one is too close for me to call. West's defense came up big but offense is still a liability. I haven't seen South Doyle since they were in our region a couple years ago so I really don't know what to expect.

I think whoever wins this one gets whipped in the next round. Both Farragut and Ooltewah are peaking and the game will be at home for them.

That's been a problem for a long time now except for Blevins but our defense has saved us a few times.

Catholic went 5-5 and then beat West in the first round a few years ago and then almost beat Sullivan South the next week so it's not really the first time. South Doyle just picked the right time to peak.

I believe it is because of the way that th brackets rotate.

Both running backs come in to this game on fire, I think both get their yards so what it will come down to is which defense can keep a handle on big plays and bend but not break and which passing game can come up with chunks of yardage to keep the running lanes open.

I watched SD/Gibbs on TV last week, and that SD RB is lights out. He's as quick as Graham is for OR. SD is peaking at the right time. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't win, and I also wouldn't be surprised if they win if they don't give Farragut or Ooltewah a pretty tough game. Don't let their record fool ya. They're hot right now.
