I take Middleton by 10. Jamirah Shutes is a top 3 player in our area but has the biggest load to carry of any player in the West TN area. She will average close to 30 points a game just because she's that good, but she has NO help around her. The PG #40 is ok, but she really doesn't look to score. Middleton's inside game with Perry and Parks with the outside quickness of Warren will be too much to overcome for Haywood.

Haywood beat Middleton 72-70. The final score is really not telling of how the game actually went. Close to about 40 turnovers combined tonight. Middleton won the boards battle, but if the guards continue to turn it over 20 times a game, they may not make it to the Boro. Perry and Jones can't initate the offense as well as score inside. Haywood played well enough to win. Haywood fans should be encouraged by the aggressive scoring nature of Young and Callaway tonight. Hope they continue that. Takes so much pressure off Jamirah.

Defense is half the game, that is like saying if it wasn't for made baskets by one team that the other team would have won by 50.
