1/2 Clarkrange or Pickett...depending on who dictates pace.

3/4 Jackson or Clay...Clay probably deeper but can they get over the mental hump of beating Coach Brown and Jackson County.

5 Monterey...just out gunned this year.

Key Players to watch for each of the top 4:

Clarkrange- Kara Meadows and Hannah Garrett, along with new transfer Reese Stover

Pickett- Abbi Buck and Courtney Pritchett, along with a wealth of fairly unknown players that will turn some heads throughout the year

Jackson- Kaitlyn Pippin and the new transfer post player from Shelbyville

Clay County- Jada Kerr and Taylor Strong, along with Kenzie Arms in the post

For the Lady Bobcats...Kassidy Geesling had 5 blocked shots the other night and has completely recovered from last year's injury, Aaliyah Brown is very quick and a good 3 point shooter, Gracie Martin has taken over point guard and doing a great job, Savannah Hammock is also very quick and a great shooter. They are faster than last year and have a talented bench of young players too.

Pickett County will suffer at the point guard possession. Martin gets easily frustrated. When Buck is hitting, get a hand in her face, when she is not, don't guard her. They play quick, physical, but will have some off nights this season without a true point guard

That hasn't happened...off nights at 7-0? They play unbeaten AA Stone Memorial tonight so maybe tonight we'll see that.

Stone Memorial is AAA, the TSSAA has a list of schools and their classification. The Lady Bobcats are 7-0, but at this time in the season that means nothing for any team. I just know what I have witnessed. When the parents in the stands start coaching the Lady Bobcats, well, nuff said.

Oneida played very well on their home court.  The Lady Buffs struggled to sustain runs the Lady Indians.  They made several but Oneida answered very challenge.  The pressure the Lady Buffs usually bring was not effecting the score and Meadows was no real factor in this meeting.

I am sure they will respond with a big win at home. This was only their 2nd loss to them in over 50 games.

The unbeaten Lady Bobcats had one of their "off nights" last night leading unbeaten AA Stone Memorial by as many as 17 points, winning 69-58. The Lady Bobcats "suffered" at point guard with Gracie Martin scoring "only" 16 "frustrating" points. With "hands in her face" Abbi Buck "only" got 2 threes, 13 points, rebounds and steals and they bothered to guard her. LOL...got any more "tips?"

PC coaches are too good to ever allow interference from the crowd. While parents may be trying to coach I guarantee you Coach Smith has a handle on the team as evidenced by their 8-0 start. PC is the cream of crop in 7A this year and a favorite to win it all.
