We wanted Cane Ridge but they scared to play us. We called maybe 25 teams to play everybody turned us down...smh

I'll give a list of the teams that Pearl offered to play. They can say "it's because of gate" if it makes them sleep better at night but it's not entirely true.

 

 

 

Fairview: they have a great excuse because they could potentially end up playing Pearl-Cohn in the playoffs; they would gain nothing from playing a team they'll possibly see in November.

I know Coach Brunetti tried and tried and tried to find a game. The fact that Cookeville accepted the invitation to play let me know right away that Coach Maynard's team should be awfully good this year. Cordova, who was very good last year, only accepted because the game was moved to a Saturday night. Every 3A football coach in Middle TN will be at Pearl-Cohn on that night. Marshall County is pretty good and will be a great game. MBA is loaded as always. CPA is loaded as always.

Not from what I know of but they're having a multimillion-dollar renovation done. So I'm guessing a field might be in the budget. I'm just wondering where there money coming from.

I bet now that I think about it RePublic will probably play at old TPS since East Nash will have their on campus stadium this year. Idk though.

That field had a Class A state championship played on it.

1969.  TPS beat Sweetwater 34 - 0 in the 1970 title game but don't know if it was at TPS or Sweetwater.
