What happened to all the people who was crying about CPA kicking everybody's bootys in basketball and football? I'm a Cpa fan and I just thought about this and kind of thought it was funny because I haven't seen anything about it on the boards.

 

Simple, because it was a myth perpetuated by the CPA faithful that the only reason people were complaining was because they were jealous and haters of all the success as opposed to the actual truth - that people were genuinely opposed to how the boys basketball program was operating.  Now that all indications show all programs are now operating within the rules, the topic is pretty much mute.  That is one reason.  Another CPA myth debunked by truth. 

 

Another reason is most likely related to moving out of Division I to Division II now that the CPA "mission" statement, after all those years, has changed... And just when I thought I might get through a basketball year without the need to post, oh so close...

Don't forget Baseball and Soccer! I'd bet most have been busy on Facebook with political conspiracy theories for the last year. There's a lot more material to work with there. I've yet to hear that Coach Brooks ordered wire taps on Coach Maddox's office. [Coach Brooks, I hope you take that as the joke it is given "presidential" tweets this weekend]

 

CPA looked very good in the last game versus Camden. The best I've seen them look this season. The GC loss seemed to be a wake up call and I hope they bring the same game to Maplewood tomorrow night.

Well your boys basketball program stopped cheating for a year, so haven't had much to say but since you brought it up....

I haven't got to see this year which kinda sucks. I might have to make that trip.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
