WillieTheWildcat
Personally, I don't want to hear any more Oak Ridge vs Memphis East, but that is just me. Oak Ridge has only one opponent to get ready for and that is Brentwood. What do people in Middle Tennessee think of the Bruins? Are they big, fast, nice smelling? LOL Do they handle the press well? Do they like an up tempo style of play? Is it rue that when the bears attack you should lay down and play dead? When Oak Ridge goes vanilla will they go strawberry? That is enough foolishness...for now.
SportsnetWriter2
If East were not in it this year, Southwind would be the favorite. Just because they lost last week I wouldnt vault OR as the clear cut favorite to challenge East. Nobody in the state plays the talent nightly that the Region 8 kids have to deal with, the only team that does is the prep school in chatt with all foreign kids.I know this is off topic but what league does Hamilton Heights play in? Hearing about some of the kids that are being recruited from there and the schools showing interest is just unreal!!

Hearing about some of the kids that are being recruited from there and the schools showing interest is just unreal!!They are unsanctioned. Kind of like a prep school. They practice all year since they don't have rules to follow and play all across the country. Them, BA and East def vie for the best in the state/country. Pretty sure their roster is all foreign players. They have a kid already committed to UK. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/217347/shai-gilgeous-alexander Edited March 8, 2017 by Shozen

Our local juco Roane State has one of their players. She's a foreign from Lithuania. I just wish schools like that would play in some type of league. Like what's there to play for if you have no league? Maybe it's just me but I'm not a fan.

Literally just play elite level talent like IMG Academy from FL and elite tournaments. I am not even sure they want to be apart of something like TSSAA. It would kind of handicap them as they practice all year long.

Icy
Maybe it's just me but I'd like to play for something ultimately!! Hamilton Heights play in a National Basketball tournament (NACA) in Dayton Tn every year. They lost in the semifinals to Mountain Mission out of Virginia. Southwest Christian out of Arkansas won the championship. Edited March 8, 2017 by Icy
captnoname
Hamilton Heights also has a player going to Virginia Tech and one coming to MTSU. All 3 of these D-1 signees are from Canada. Watch out boys...Canada is catching the U.S. in high school basketball. We have too many playing so it is a numbers game based on population, etc...
