Walker Valley made it last year who lost to Hardin Valley during the season a team in which you called terrible. You don't make a lot of sense when you speak and contradict yourself at every turn.

Any team can be beaten on a Given Day. But in the Bigger Schools more times than not the teams are all Good Teams. Thats not a Contradiction, that's a Statistical Fact. There are No Bad Teams in 3A Basketball that Make it to Murfeesboro

I chuckled. Tee Higgins has been the only person to show up for OR. If Jones plays like this vs East it will be over before halftime. East still put up 70+ while being uncharacteristicly bad from the 3 today.

East is Not Known For their Shooting Ability, they are a Get to the Rim Team. Seen them play multiple times Live & saw their Better Players on The Summer Circuit, they are Not Good Shooters as a Team

All AAA state tourney teams can play as has been stated on this thread. Over the years, I think the things that separate the teams in AAA that win the title from the other teams are 1) excellent PG play and 2) a dominant big man. All AAA state tourney teams have guys that can play or they wouldn't be there. However, championship teams almost always have those two ingredients.

I hope OR can pull it off but East has those ingredients with Lomax and Lawson.

First game is usually the Toughest. Brentwood is a Darn Good Team, 3A Basketball is Tough to Win. Brentwood had the Ball & the lead with less than 10 seconds left vs East last year & kid dribbled the ball off his foot, East hits a Layup & rest is History. Bad Teams don't make it to State Tourny in AAA

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
