Hendersonville vs Centennial...Who Wins?

Recommended Posts

Hville wins 56-21 as Brett Coker passes for 323 yds and 5 TD's which are both school records. He also added 2 more scores on the ground.  He threw TD passes of 70, 66, and 22 yds to Gabe Dalton and 1 each to Anthony Hughes and Derek Kincaid. Better performance on D for the Commandos as they shut out the Cougars in the 2nd half.

That is impressive in that offense.  Never remember a Hendersonville QB even close to that kind of yardage passing.

So far this year Coker is 22 of 30 for 575 yds and 6 TD's.  As long as teams continue to stack the box and play the receivers man to man I would think we will continue to throw it.  Hopefully Hughes will be more at full speed next week.  I think he had 3 carries and 1 catch last night.

I was very impressed with the QB last week against Blackman. I knew they were a better team than last weeks score indicated. Most of that had to do with the opponent. The Commandos are a solid football team.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
