I haven't seen this much talent on one team since the early days of Rankin at Riverdale. Creasy gets the most out of a little, and he will keep it close for awhile. I say by the middle of the 3rd quarter the Blaze will be salting the game away with Master. Everyone needs to get there early, I am sure it will be a packed house. The biggest problem I see with that prediction of a Blackman beat down is that Oakland is more of a second half team.

The biggest problem with that prediction is it is Oakland...Nobody is going to put a beat down on them ... don't care who you are. The player are all aware that they better bring their A game or its will be lights out. As far as Creasy goes he does get every ounce out of his players and they all play bigger than they are. The smallest guy on the team will line up and hit you like he is 6'2 250lbs and like it. This will not be an easy one for sure...

Give Creasy credit, he's one of the best in the state, but the cupboard is far from empty at Oakland. Always a stable of great players.. that are well coached and eager to sock you in the mouth. Must've been pretty lucky to hang on and beat Independence, Maryville, and Riverdale. Maybe our 'little' can keep it close for a little while. I sure hope you represent how Blackman feels about our 'little'. 'The most out of a little'......wow!!! Great locker room material!!! Thank you!!! Don't try to twist this into lockeroom fodder. You know that Creasy is a genius and could squeeze 2 pen,nys and turn it into a nickle. The truth is, even in years when some teams had more talent, Oaland was always, and still is, so well coached that they do more with their players than other coaches get done with their "stars" If anyone really thought this was going to be an easy game for either team their would be little intrest in anyone going. This will be our toughest test to date. Edited September 19, 2017 by Blaze45

Plus it is a rival game, those kids will play twice as hard for both teams just for bragging rights.

A t the end of the day... the trophy stays with the school... the bragging rights go with the players and they get to share that with their kids... Hsfootballnut
I think the one key in this game for Blackman to win is the defense, in my opinion, so far, on the defensive side of the ball I have not been that impressed. They have improved on the defensive side since week 1, but have they improved enough?
