Oak Ridge defeats Powell 62 - 38. The Lady Wildcats will play Campbell County Saturday at 6pm for the District Tournament Championship and will host a Region Tournament game next Friday at 7 pm.

All District 3-AAA Tournament team from OR: Dowdell, Bates, Golden and MVP Guinn.

Next game is in the Region 2-AAA Tournament. on Friday at Oak Ridge 7 pm. The opponent will be determined Monday at the District 4-AAA Tournament. One possible opponent could be Hardin Valley coached by 2 time Class AAA Miss Basketball and UT-Chattanooga legend Jennifer Wilson Calloway formerly of Oak Ridge. I nicknamed her Miss Automatic back in her Lady Wildcat days.

The other possible opponent will be William Blount. Both WB and HV are quality teams and OR must win the game to continue the season. Things start to get nerve wracking in elimination games.

Friday at 7 pm, Hardin Valley comes to Oak Ridge for a Region 2-AAA Tournament game. The other teams from District  4-AAA are 1 seed Bearden, 2 seed Maryville and 3 seed William Blount.

Halftime at the Wildcat Arena...Oak Ridge 31  Harden Valley 20

OR went up 10 but HVA cut it to 5 then a late Lady Wildcats surge took it to 11. Oak Ridge defeated the Lady Hawks last season in the post season 71 - 42.

On a side note: Heard on the local news tonite that a group of ORHS students won the Tenness State Science Fair. Congratulations to these fine young men and women.
