Gallatin vs Hendersonville

Hendersonville brings a lot of offense to the table.  Hughes is a very good runner with good speed.  When he gets going it is hard on opposing defenses.  On top of that is Brett Coker who is rewriting the Hendersonville record book with the passing game.  The Commandos have a very potent offense.  Gabe Dalton is a clutch receiver who helps that offense turn.  Gallatin counters with a stiff defense.  Lots of speed and big hitters.  Scores have been deceptive because of the younger guys getting quality minutes.  That will help in the long run.  Gallatin offense seems to sputter at times but has remained effective when they have to be.  Hendersonville has had a time slowing down good running attacks.  This is a good matchup and should be an exciting game for the fans.

Don't feel that Hendersonville sticks with what is successful for them offensively while Gallatin seems to stay the course. Both can be explosive offensively. On the other side Hendersonville has not proven to be in control giving up way too much. Gallatin seems to be stronger here.

This game is in the Wave yard and the advantage goes to Gallatin.

I agree with every word of this.  Wave in a close one.

Gallatin holds the all-time lead in this series 38-17-1. But that is mostly because from 1964-1996 Gallatin owned the series 28-4-1. Since 1996 this series has been 14-13 in favor of Gallatin so a very good rivalry.

It would seem that this is a battle of a conservative defensive Gallatin team going up against an aggressive offensive Hendersonville team.

Gallatin lost to Mt. Juliet 37-0 but in their other 6 games they only allowed 6, 7, 10, 14, 17 and 22. And on the flipside the best teams they have played so far are probably Mt. Juliet, Hillsboro and Springfield and they scored 0, 16 and 24 in those games.

Hendersonville hasn't been held to less than 21 this year. They have scored 21, 23, 28, 31, 42, 47 and 56. On defense they held Station Camp to 7 but in the other games allowed 17, 21, 28, 29, 35 and 63.

Gallatin is 5-1 and Hendersonville is 4-3. However I feel like if they swapped schedules around the records would probably be the same. So throw that out the window.

From what I've seen of Hendersonville and read about other games if they are dedicated to running the ball with their main backs they are very hard to stop. But when they get to wanting to force feed the ball to other outlets they make mistakes.

I think Hendersonville wins a close game.

Hendersonville 28

Gallatin 21

    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
