Here's another thought. Is it really good for any team this time a year to have players sitting on the sidelines for 2 complete quarters multiple games to end the regular season and possibly the first

That was when Midway was a decent team. They had Ray Ray Robinson. This game on Friday night will be mercy by halftime. Greenback by 50

If Greenback can beat Coalfield and make it back to Cookeville this year they will be looking at four trips in a row. The 2018 Greenback squad will easily be the front runner in the east. You guys will have a veteran, loaded football team next year. Your team next year will be similar to Coalfield's this year with most of the team being seniors.

I'm scared to post anything anymore.....bout got stripped of my clothes and beat with a stick on here for saying south pitt or whitwell can't stay within 14 points of gback or coalfield.....when I said it won't be close I d idnt mean a 50 point win...i meant as far as talent and skill players...i think a 14-21 point win is what we will see

I agree.. I would put those teams a little ahead of SP as well. 14 point favorites sound pretty close. Honestly Whitwell will have one more good year next year and then they won't be in the conversation again. As for SP, they have a young team, but it's not full of the speed and talent we've seen in the past. Coalfield will have a big drop off after this season. Greenback will mercy rule everyone next year until the semifinals. There will be no competition in the first three rounds. The 2019 year will be the year where Greenback takes a step back. Saying that, I think Greenback represents in 2018 and SP in 2019

Yes we will take a huge step back unless they open up so we can take out a county kids.

What??? I thought Greenback has been taking out of county and out of state kids the past few seasons. I know two of the starting linemen are from Maryville and Alabama. Silvey and Roberts were from out of county.

      Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.

      RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.

      You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
