South-Doyle vs Knox Central

Haven’t seen much about South-Doyle recently. This Friday should be a good rematch from the later half of the season. Doyle won the first game 27-7. Seems like th Cherokees have been firing on all cylinders recently while winning 6 straight. Their QB, Mason Brang, is getting extremely confident and one of their star players Elijah Young had 362 all purpose yards againist Halls last week. Although Central’s defense is one of the best in the area in my opinion. What is yalls pick?

Definitely a tale of two seasons for SD this year. Started out 1-5, and have now won 6 straight. I like SD on Friday, but they've had this nasty habit of shooting themselves in the foot a lot this season. It almost cost them against Halls last week. If they can minimize the mistakes, they should cruise vs. Central.

Didn't exactly happen like I thought it would, but I thought these two teams would meet in the quarterfinals.  Been a weird year for both, but for different reasons.  

Key number:  13

When Central has scored 13 or more points this year they are 7-0. 

When Central has scored less than 13 points this year they are 0-5.

Be interesting to see if that continues to hold true on Friday.

Great observation by all here, although I don’t think anyone will be cruising by us. I just think about what could have been had we not been bitten HARD by the injury bug this season. Obviously when Dakota got hurt it was a huge blow but he isn’t the only one. We had 2 OL have concussions and didn’t play much in the 3rd and none of the 4th qtr the last go around at SD. I truly think we have a good chance this week, either way I consider this season a success considering all the circumstances we’ve dealt with.

I think this may be the best game in the area this Friday, I pick South Doyle but in a much closer game than last time.
