Who are the front runners?  I believe I was told that Lake County was a team comprised mainly of underclassmen this past season.  They'll be in the mix for sure if that's the case.  Greenback will be looking to return for a 4th consecutive season.  What about South Pittsburg, Cornersville, Huntingdon, Jo Byrns, and others?

On the east it will be between GHS and SP in the 4th round again the only difference is that it will be at SP this year. Whitwell will be the only other team on the east that could make some noise. If greenback makes it back it will be their 4th consecutive year not 3 lol!!!

This will be the hardest coaching job they will have to do! Everybody's going to tell these kids how good they are in the off-season and we'll see if they stay humble and go back to work as hard as they did this year.

1a on the east will be VERY weak,if we loose before the fourth round we would be a huge underachiever!! I'm not saying that their that good but that 1a is very weak but I understand what you're saying and I agree!!

When you can pretty much predict all the way up to the semifinals a year away then you know it’s weak lol Greenback should be the favorites with what they return.

I agree about it being weak lol but the fourth round will be a dog fight and the winner has a very good shot at winning the gold again from what I have seen on the west side of the bracket!

Not in this house, lol! Now that Jr. Has his feet wet it's time to really get to work. He's about 190 now & should get to 200 with a little added bulk. He's gonna have a parachute attached to his backside & have nightmares about ladders in his sleep lol. That trainer he is going to start working with will tell him just how weak he is and push him to work harder. Speed & strength is the goal. We'll see if he can get to 6'4 plus, 200# and sub 4.6 40! We motivate him by reminding him his daddy was 4.4 on a bad day.

The key is the kid has to want it and have the heart to do it. He does!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
