Any news on the off-season? What do we have coming back for 2018?

No news. Barring defections, grade problems etc. our defense should really be stout with talented and many returners at all three levels . The offense lost  a lot. Our two record setting RBs will graduate but the rising junior and sophomore classes have some fast and talented prospects. Our QB returns after a very impressive year but some back-ups need to be developed. Good returners at reciever include last years leader Thompson. The O-line graduates several but return two year starters Metsinger and James. The rising Junior class is loaded withbig, good looking prospects in the Oline. Hope to hear some news soon. Spring practice planned for the last of Feb.

Two days  in shorts and helmets on the pavement behind the stadium. Both fields are quagmires so it is the best we can do.Both o-line and d-line look impressive both in size and agility. They worked on developing depth at linebacker where multiple starters return. The secondary is much the same with depth development in the works.RBs and Qbs are raw with starters and potential backups in soccer, track or baseball. I can't help but be optimistic after watching them especially about the defense. With 8 or 9 kids in other spring sports who will be playing in the fall,a lot of newcomers  will get a chance to show what they've got. Scrimmages at Lexington on Thursday ( rain date Monday) and Milan on the next Thursday. Right at 100 kids are lockered in the field house. Donyah not participating in spring training as he recuperates from an old injury.

I believe the defense will be really solid. Samari Rack is coming back right?  Offense has talent at QB and WR. It will be interesting to see how the offensive line develops and how Jalyn Foster takes the next step as the starting RB. Keep us updated on how the scrimmage goes.

Jaylen "the phantom" Foster has looked pretty good but not he alone. Debo Teague has been impressive and Jadyn Kendall as well as others look promising.. Lexington had to back out of today's scrimmage so the team will go to Bethel today and hold an  interteam scrimmage.Next Friday at Milan we battle the Bulldogs

The scrimmage with Lexington is now on for Monday at Bethel . Time would depend on what time the teams can get there and warm up.... 4 to 4:30 ?  Let's hope for no more rain.

HC 4-1 over Lexington in Varsity portion. Both offenses were very rusty with only a couple of days in pads due to weather interference.Passing game looked pretty good. Long TD runs by the Phantom Foster and  Joe Travis were nice. Defense looked stout.
