You are right about the new coach . I would give anything to get Kevin Creasy back. 

Creasy no question had a great run but he was left with the barrel full by Clint which in 2008/09 a blind man could have won it. He also saw the run ending before getting out of Hartsville. He knew their was gonna be a drop off and giving the gas man the job. The sky is the limit this year for TC, but the key to it will be staying healthy which in small school ball is key.  I look for the Jackets and Oakland to win it all this year.... anybody know where the gas man is these days?

While I agree about Creasy getting good athletes, it is hard to live in a legend's shadow. Let's be real, Clint micro-managed the program and still does.  That is hard to put your own stamp on the program. Creasy worked hard and the boys believed in him. He did leave when the talent  was getting thinner, but he made it no secret that he wanted to be head coach of a 6A school.

Agreeed! Creasy is a great guy. Pulling for him and my jackets. Would be nice to see them both in cookeville

Why exactly is Gordy fundraising for a new fieldhouse? We heard that the push from the Smith County school board is to consolidate SC and Gordy into one high school and that a person already donated land for the new school. This does not make a lick of sense to waste money building new stuff.

They're no consolidating, and I don't believe anything is in stone to build a new high school.

Even if they do, I imagine they will still play at Turnry Ford Field.
