FORREST AT BGA

There is no way to know about this year yet. But in previous years, I completely disagree that BGA would be better than any 2A team. Marion from 2015 and 2016 would have boat raced BGA. Forrest from 2016 was significantly better as was Meigs. Last year's Tyner and Union City teams were better. Peabody in any given year could beat them. Adamsville too.

I dont remember every nuance of every game, but I will say I don't remember Forrest ever having a 14-0 lead last year. They had 2 opps in the red zone that ended in turnovers. One was a fumble out of the end zone- touchback, and then other was a fumble inside the 5. BGA had done nothing offensively, and Forrest could have been up 21-0.

No woulda shoulda couldas. But Forrest's final 2 TD's came when they were already getting destroyed. And neither had a PAT or conversion.

Forrest had a 7-0 lead after 1 quarter in 2017. Two impressive 1st quarter drives resulted in zero points. One drive ended on a fumbled 1st and goal play and the other was a turnover on downs at the goal line. BGA had a 21-13 halftime lead and was only up 28-19 with 7 minutes to play when they reeled off 20 unanswered points to make the final score a blowout.

The BGA QB finished the game  24 of 28 passing with 5 total TD's. Good news is he is gone now. Bad news is many of the playmakers around him are back and a year faster.

Waverly and Columbia Academy in 2A were both significantly better than BGA.

D1 skill players- Huntland had one of those a year or two ago. He got his and Forrest won. TEAMS scare me more than individual players. Forrest will have to give their best TEAM effort in almost 2 calendar years to win this game. Let me capitalize TEAM about 5-6 more times lol.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?
    • Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
