Big Games in Memphis – 2018, Week 1 Games

Even though Southwind isn't a school that resides within the Whitehaven community, I like the addition to the Classic. I know the original intent was to include all of the high schools within the community. However, sometime changes have to be made after the original creation has run its course. There are still the core schools involved.

Southwind, demographically, is SO similar to the Whitehaven of the 90s it's not even funny. Glad that they're a part of this. We'll eventually play them hopefully.

They are among the schools we traditionally scrimmage. I like that we have some good programs that are in that role. I think it works. However, that would be a great game as well. But, I think scrimmaging MUS and Southwind on a regular serves a greater purpose.
