To me it looks like they are being very careful with Swafford, 6 or 7 carries a game so far, and I say this game will be about the same, I would say they won’t open it up until Rockwood and Oneida comes around.

I'm lookin at the Oneida game and gonna make the trip down. I'm hopin both teams will be undefeated 8-)

I look forward to both those contests also. Target is on our back.  Nothing would make a  season like knocking off a number 1.

That's why you keep telling the kids to play to their potential. You snooze you lose in some cases.

Yes. It is okay for us old folks to look ahead a little but the boys need to focus on one game at a time. I'm thinking the Sequatchie game will give us a better look at ourselves headed into region play. Last year our defense wasn't the strongest at stopping teams with size that like to run right at you. Overall I think this years defense is bigger, stronger, and deeper. With the exception of #46 of course.

I was skeptical at first, but I'm becoming a believer in them. They are playing extremely hard and are getting it done. Starting this year I knew the offense would be fine. Defensively was where I didn't know how we would be, but now I think we will be just as good as last year. And you are right about Sequatchie I think they will be a test to our defense. They have a fullback apparently who is able to drive it extremely well from what I've read. If we are able to keep them low yardage and low score I think we will be good enough playoff time to have a deep deep run.

Yes the defense ??????????? What we do have is several kids that can run. Shouldn't be giving up many big plays. I believe we should be able to hold our own.

I'll be straight up honest with you. We wont lose to Sequatchie and i dont think it will really even be close. That's just my honest opinion of not how bad Sequatchie is but how good we are.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
