At the end of the day I believe there are still some kids on the team that remember Cordova coming to our stadium saying something extra disrespectful before a game... we gonna continue whooping them off of that incident.

#RESPECTDAHAVEN

We will never forget that!!!

You all are right, Cordova did not show up at all. From start to finish. Coach has got some work to do to change the culture over there. Mental toughness is what he has been preaching. So, I expect some changes to be made. If I know Wimberly, this team will look totally different from yesterday at the end of the season. Whitehaven played a great physical game. Can't come with that soft stuff, and that is what Cordova did.

Agreed. They will get better. They will get past this. This is just one game.

Against Cordova.....Good win though

Yes against Cordova who is a top 15 maybe top 10 team in 6a and has made multiple playoff runs in recent history but don't worry though we got an even bigger test coming up this week and even more big ones further down the line.

Do you honestly think that was a good Cordova team? They just aren't that good this year. Period. Houston will win that region.

That's my first time seeing them play this year but they still have a good team from what I saw. They definitely didn't play as good against us but i still think they'll be better than Houston this year. I haven't seen Houston either so only time will tell. Its too early to write them off as bad tho.

Not bad @ all. Just not ready for the elite level of competition in 6A this year.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
