Well its that time of year again.  Throw out the records and lace the cleats up tight.

No matter how good a team is against any other team, these two have a history and rivalry that has received nation wide recognition.

Going to try and see this one.   I just wish it was not almost a mile walk for the popcorn!

Oh YEA!  Was at the Nationally televised one at Oakland also.  Was NOT a good night for Oakland.  That was in the days of "Run it up, Rankin" though.  LOL 

Was the same year I first tasted your ribs.  After that Oak Ridge trip I was spoiled!

Anyone want to pick the points spread on this one?

BTW anyone know if the concession stand still have those steak sandwiches or do I need to stop at Rick's before the game?

I'm gonna say the point spread here is 24. Oakland has been hampered by injuries early in the year. Now they are starting to get some guys back. Juat dont see have the Warriors will be able to get much going on O.

LOD if you are gonna have to have a backup plan Ricks ain't a bad second choice. As for the points /spread hard to say. I think a lot will be decided by which Riverdale team shows up. I would love to see an absolute slugfest, where the entire Oakland defense is worn down and a bit tattered (We need all the extra help we can get next week)lol. I would say it could be a close game going into the half and if it is who knows.

Somebody fire up the smoke screen machine in the teepee!  Secondary needs the help........for BOTH teams!

I feel a smoked chicken breast dinner with two sides of twice baked potato salad coming up!  HELLO RICK'S!

Unfortunately I don’t think this will be much of a game this year. I went to this one a couple years ago and loved the atmosphere of watching these two teams go at it. I just don’t think the game will be very good this year.

I've always had a lot of respect for Riverdale and their program, but it's hard for me to see this being much of a game this year.

A few years ago R'dale was the power house team in 5a for the state.  There was NO 6a then.   Oakland was having a bad year until they came to the playoffs.  Lo and behold Oakland played their tails off and upset R'dale and put Rankin out of the playoffs.

Moral of the story, no matter the record of the teams, when R'dale plays Oakland there is no predicting who will be the winner!
