They matter, but some really bad coaches have won a lot of football games because their players were more talented. Those things matter, but talent is equally as important.

Yes talent helps for sure. So does player development. The buy in, the investment from coaches , players ,community etc.

I'm just saying, talent will win games early in a tenure to build momentum for a program. The culture and community don't come unless you win. And you can't win early at a program without talent.

I was asking because there are many fans that never played and as a result they dont have the emotional element of the game in mind. They know every rule , strategy etc but they dont realize that emotions are huge i. The game.

No, I played football for as long as I could. I understand everything that goes into it.
