Ripley seems to always have talent, however they kinda remind me of some Memphis teams and in the  past coaching has been lack luster!! Riverside by 17

Ripley's coaching staff is now in their 2nd year and definitely have seen some improvement since they got there, but definitely still have a long way to go, especially in Region 7-4A. This game could be interesting. Ripley's last 3 games were against Dyersburg, Covington, & Haywood. They actually competed well in both for a half & put up 31 points on undefeated Dyersburg, which is the most they have given up all year. If they can put together an entire game, they have the chance to upset Riverside.

Yeah that dyers burg score scares me. Obviously Ripley has the talent, just need to right the ship. Sounds like they might have found the right staff. Think it will b a close game

I think you're exactly right Bigpun. Ripley lost their last three games, but they competed with the best teams west of the river (excluding Memphis) for a while. Lots of folks are fond of saying that there are no moral victories in sports, but I disagree...those kids know what stiff competition is, they know that they didn't get stampeded over, and if the coaches are as good as they seem, they believe that they can and will win against little ole 2A Riverside. Sometimes taking that belief out of a team's thoughts is tough. Riverside can win this game, but I doubt if Ripley rolls over and takes it with the first punch or two, and they'd better not let Ripley get out in front early.
