When the mighty Alcoa is resorting to plays like a hook and ladder before halftime you know they are in a dogfight. Maybe a mischoice of words but Alcoa sure wasn't in our backfield all night and we were getting 5, 6 and 8 yards a play most of the night. I would like to see the yardage for tonights game. I know Russell broke a couple for long gainers. 15 sure made us look stupid on that long run. I would like to throw out that last Russell run.

Wouldn’t go there just yet. Covington is a worthy opponent. Alcoa’s offense hasn’t been clicking since the AE game. This isn’t the same team offensively that beat Murvul earlier in the season. Will take another team effort to get the win!

 I agree 100%,this ain't the Same Alcoa team & hasn't been for about 5 weeks now.

They have been practicing that play all week. It was supposed to possibly be our first offensive play of the game. However, the great Upperman drive that pinned us deep kept it from being called. I knew it was coming. Thought the timing of the call ended up being great. We needed that before the half...

I was talking about the Seniors making it to the State Championship game all 4 years..lol I hear Covington had to beat Stratford in OT tonight. Seemed like two great Semifinal games.

Gotcha! Yeah, definitely proud to accomplish that. Absolutely two great games! I’m sure we will probably see y’all again next year. Let’s get through this year first.

The 3-4 D we ran tonight was beyond awful. Not to take anything from Upperman. Your qb is very good and hard to tackle. With that said I hope we take the 3-4 and throw it in the garbage.....
