He had NE absolutely ROLLING last year until all that other happened! I can see Gallatin coming on stronger than people may realize!

Scrimmages have been good but none of that has counted.  3 of our first 4 should be tough games.  I am just hoping for a Henry Co matchup in the future.  Y’all do it right up there and I have enjoyed every visit with the hospitality.  Not the score so much last time...Lol!

Lol! The only way we can play each other is in the semifinals. I think HC can get back there this year if everybody stays healthy!

I see it almost the same as you, except I think we drop a close one to Beech on the road, and squeak out a win against Brentwood on our home turf. By that point in the season we really should be rolling, and hopefully the new QB, whichever one it is, is settled in and leading the team by then. Two tough games on the road to start the year will pay dividends against Brentwood and others later in the season I think. Go Big Red!

Called it! Ha. This was a fun reread.

Yes you did. That’s actually the way I saw it going as well.  Would be nice to see HC make another trip to Shackle Island in a few weeks... I believe Beech has a little tougher road to get there though.

It would be another close 4th quarter game. An instant classic!!!

I would have to agree.  I love watching these two play, it’s always a great atmosphere with two well coached teams.

Beech will more than likely have Shelbyville (unless Hillsboro does something crazy), then Page/Gallatin winner to get there. That’s four of the top ten teams in 5A right now and makes for a tough bracket.

Henry County should have a slightly easier road.

This is my feeling as of right now...

I feel like most people would agree these should all be the for sure wins this year:

Dyer County

Kenwood

Clarksville High

Clarksville Northwest

Clarksville Northeast

West Creek

Now the 4 non region games is where it gets very very interesting...Haywood will be a tough game on the road in the first game. I'm thinking we may lose that one. The very next week is Beech on the road again. That is a toss up. Right now I will say we will win that game again. Next would be Brentwood, which we have at home. That will be a very tough game and by that time in the season I expect us to start rolling BUT I dont see us beating Brentwood. Then we got good ol' Germantown at home. I think we get some revenge on G-Town in a close game.

I have Henry County going 8-2 on the season.

Well I was mostly right except switch the Brentwood and Beech game lol

    • Exactly right OR2. I say it was our sick kicker’s fault! In fairness, the ‘82 f’n hairtage team was good. The ‘83 team played ALOT of sophs.
    • I coach 3 sports in HS and can tell you that basketball is NOT the most time consuming. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of time but between basketball, baseball and football it isn't the most time consuming.
    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
