Greenfield the favorite in A I would imagine if Vegas had a betting line on it. They won it last year. I agree with Riverdale and Macon County!!!

Don't sell your Lady Pioneers short, pioneer.  They are right there with Greenfield as favorites!  Both are tough and battle tested for sure!

I agree we are right there with them.  Just said Vegas odds because they won it last year. Vegas odds and my odds are different. Lol.. Clarkrange, GC, Loretta Summertown all have as good a shot. Team we played last night was tough. Good game for us before we get up there. Who would you compare the team last night too? Peabody or who?

The "favorites" in my book:

1A- Greenfield (defending champs)..have to be favored going in with Ms. Basketball candidate C Moore.

2A- Macon County

3A- Riverdale

The "hopes" in my book:

1A- Gibson County!

2A- Westview

3A- Arlington

Note: I'm for the West side of the State, if you didn't notice.

I have to agree with you. I think Macon County & Riverdale are clearly the better teams in Class AA & AAA. I think Greenfield in Class A is a slight favorite but they are not the clear cut favorites like in AA & AAA. I think there are about 3 teams in Class A that can win it all (Greenfield, Gibson County, & Summertown).

Thanks. I wouldn't rule out Clarkrange either. 33-3 and a ton of tradition.

Clarkrange drew Greenfield in the quarterfinals so I don't think they can beat them but you're right. You just never know in these state tourney matchups. Any team can beat another team on any given day.

They reminded me of a better shooting Peabody without a great point guard.  Great draw for GC.  Summertown reminds me of GC but younger.  Then again, many of this years girls were there last year and won't be intimidated by the atmosphere.  I think GC wins unless the threes don't fall.

Clarkrange v Greenfield is a heckuva matchup. I have only seen Clarkrange once and it was early in the season.  Both Greenfield and Clarkrange are playing great ball right now.  Could go either way, but I got Greenfield because I am a west tn homer.

Last game we played it was a defensive slugfest where both teams struggled on offense and TO's was the key.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
