I believe BDP has their lift-a-thon tomorrow night. It’ll be interesting to see the turnout for the boys. I’ve heard coach has made some changes/improvements in the locker room and weight room since taking over as well. First chance to see the new staff at work. Looking forward to a great night.

Alright BDP fans, I want to hear your win total predictions for the upcoming season. I’m going 4-6. Picking up Station Camp and Watertown is an upgrade over Sycamore and East Robertson.

Kinda hard to tell at this point cause I’m not sure what all everyone has coming back and I’m still not sure what kind of attitude this team is going to play with.

Im assuming the 4 wins you’re giving us are glencliff, hunters lane, heritage, and greenbrier? I know station camp is a bigger school, but it’s not like they’re a power house so I feel like we can maybe win that game and Portland is definitely a winnable game.  Not saying we will win, but I think we can.

Idk what all central or creek wood has coming back so hard to tell.  But I honestly didn’t think creek wood was all that last year.  I’ll give them credit for beating us, but that was the most apathetic performance from a White House team I think I’ve ever seen, it’s hard to win any games playing the way they played that night.

Springfield is always gonna be tough no matter what and I know Watertown has been really good lately so we’ll see what happens.

4-6 would be a really disappointing year for us and I hope that doesn’t happen.  I think there’s like 20 seniors on this team so I’m hoping they turn out to be pretty good.  Im gonna go with 7 wins and I’ll tell you after the station camp game how confident I am with that prediction lol.  GO BDP!!

I think that BDP will be better this year.  I always look forward to the SHS VS BDP game.  It has a great atmosphere, venues and is a spirited rivalry

What happened?

I wouldn’t say they had anyone in particular that stood out.  We were definitely bigger than they were.  I thought their QB was pretty good, they might’ve ran the ball 10 times if that.  A lot of short quick routes and screens.  They looked pretty crisp and executed well, I could tell they’re well coached.  We had some success running on them, but overall their front 7 on defense looked pretty good to me.  They definitely “won” the scrimmage in my opinion, but I’d have to imagine they would get swacked against some of the powerhouses in the private school league.  We’ll see what happens though, having a really really good coach makes a huge difference.  I thought it went well for both teams overall.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
