CPA new field

CPA constructed all over campus this summer, field first. Athletic track and parking greatly improved. Football base was always good and firm draining to the immediately adjacent Little Harpeth River. If you know thoroughbred tracks then you realize sloppy is a fast track and muddy is slow. CPA usually needs aerial success which does not do well wet field, those coming up will especially be more prone to open Ingle attack. 8th graders are the best on campus even having lost their QB to getting held back to year behind last year. Building a future platform for those kids. Future so bright, gotta wear shades. Better get the Presbyterians as Booger says this year cause they gonna catch up in a hurry. Field looks funny as a hybrid kinda but outside the lines don't matter to anyone but ESPN story tellers. Only in the Luzianne game were CPA coaches and fans grateful for slop because Mr Football was the best on the field by far and he was neutralized a lot, don't think it factors into any Nooga school thought process as to whether it is fast, sloppy or muddy.

I dont think I've ever seen a dry Cpa field seriously. First time down there Vaughn broke his leg or ankle "I cant remember" Even when I visited for another game last year

new field is fast and firm, sod took well and it meets Ingle's expectation. New field was a criteria for him to stay.  Sod has rooted and no lines or evidence  of joining points.  CPA will not be able to take advantage of the turf this year, not much skill position talent compared to recent past. Bigger OL and DL who probably would prefer heavy turf. What Ingle wants then Ingle gets and the field is dry and fast in August 2019.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
