And yes, even though they may deny with extreme emotions & strong denials, officials really do call games that way as has been suggested. I happened to sit at a dinner table of many officials after a game once, (guess they thought I was one too), & they laughed & bragged about doing such things. Keeping scores down, putting coaches (&:players) in their place when they got a bad attitude, letting coaches know who is boss, etc, et al. For anyone to deny it happens would be pure foolishness & stupidity. I am NOT demeaning nor disrespecting officials, just stating facts & what everyone knows happens. Maybe this will put me in CiachT penalty box, or even banned because I offended someone.. well so be it. Truth has that effect at times. History is replete with examples of truthtellers & whistle blowers getting treated very badly by others... that's just the way it is. This world ain't a perfect place by any means, and folk just need to prepare for such things. (Sermonette lesson #587 over now) .

Hmmmmmmmmmm really you say

I don't understand why yalls coach and team wanted to embarrass our team that is down? what ever happened to integrity of the game or good sportsmanship, did these kids, and i mean these kids every do anything to your team?was it this coaching staff that hurt puckett's feelings? why punish kids or coaches that has nothing to do with anything. Lake county has a great team and I enjoy watching them play, I can't wait for maybe a lake county and huntington game. but play the game with class

Lake County always plays with class. It has been Dresden over the years that was classless. Nobody from Dresden seemed to mine when Dresden with Rang beat us 66 to 0 with starters in the game throwing the ball late in the game. The seniors on this years LC team were freshmen. Many of them started. The previous staff's at Dresden didn't mind all the late hits and unsportsmanlike penalties they got. So, yes LC wanted to put it on Dresden. The officials saved Dresden from 70 getting hung on them. Be thankful. Hopefully the new coaching staff at Dresden will teach the game the right way and this kind of thing can be avoided. Good luck to the lions the rest of the way.

Not making any excuses but this is football. No participation ribbons for getting off the bus. If Dresden didn't call the dogs off and hung 60 on LC then we should expect them to return the beat down. It's a slippery slope leaving your stars on the field in a blowout. If Dresser would have got hurt or LC's QB gets hurt the gold ball gets further away or in Dresden's case it disappears. Hoping LC wins gold this year.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
