York vs Cannon... Loser goes home

Winner gets to playoffs? Who will show up? Is Cannon on the rise? Will York fade again?

Looking at some numbers the other day, it’s possible York could go 2A. The Upperman folks think they could go 4A. If so this region could be broken up. Enrollments would be counted next fall and new regions started in 2021.

I'm going with Dragons on this game. Evenly matched teams but York is the more disciplined team. Cannon was starting fights on the field and was walking off the field cursing with coaches beside them. No discipline for 3 or 4 players.

York had one tossed for kicking and punching in the pile, was finally caught. Dove into the back of a player's knee at the end of a play, away from the ball, earlier, and somehow all refs missed it. He was the worst but there were others.

Some need to remember that playing is a privilege not a right. Honor the game and have good sportsmanship!!

Not sure if the count is fall of 2020 if Upperman will grow that much, but the current seventh grade class at the middle school is supposed to be considerably larger than any before.  That should mean fall of 2021 would put enrollment in the range that is currently 4A, but with open zoning in the county, anything is possible.

Cannon County has more to play for. They have a playoff game on the line and havent had one in awhile. Im calling Cannon County by 2 scores.

After watching my Bees play both teams, I feel Cannon Co has a slight edge in this one. Good luck to both teams.
