The capsules Coach T did of the 3A and 4A teams were interesting. I liked the fact that out of the teams mentioned in the 4A top ten, Springfield played the 2nd toughest schedule behind Greeneville. The Jackets’ schedule is rated 18th toughest.

Tough schedule pays off this time of year best of luck jackets

It’s looking like tomorrow night, weather wise, will be a repeat of last week for the Jackets. Soaking rain on Thursday and frigid temperatures on game night. Ball security is going to be of the upmost importance, and I’m hoping the bad center to QB exchanges are behind us. That’s put us in some bad spots in games this year. Definitely don’t need to get behind the chains because of it. Need to grind this one out on the ground. I know SS’s record doesn’t show it, but they are a capable team that’s always physical and fast and well coached. They will come prepared with a good game plan. The Jackets just need to keep playing stifling D and keep the ball moving on O.

Hope that a huge crowd shows up to support the yellow jackets tonight ! If you can’t make it out to the game then tune in social dweebs on you tube and you can pick up the audio broadcast of the game. Because of TSSAA restrictions we will not be allowed to broadcast video of the game but you can follow the action live by tuning in.

    • I coach 3 sports in HS and can tell you that basketball is NOT the most time consuming. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of time but between basketball, baseball and football it isn't the most time consuming.
    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
