For anyone in the know, out of curiosity how did Lexington hold Hardin to only 12 pts?

That game was one of them head scratchers. HC didn’t really seem to be able to get in a rhythm on O. No excuses but imo a lot of bad calls against HC in that game and Lexington had a chance to win it late and HC held em

I should have also said that Lexington also had a good football team this year that seem to get better every week. That as well played a part in the outcome.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the jackets handle a pure passing quarterback. He’s the only one we’ve played against all year. The DB’s and DL have had great success with passing offenses so far, but Hardin County’s will be the toughest test yet. Our Defenses is playing phenomenal right now and the offense is hitting their stride. It’ll be a great quarter final game in Springfield.

Kid from Marshall County was slinging it!

Yeah, I forgot about him. I do think Hardin county’s QB is a more seasoned passer. Can’t give him time, or he'll pick you apart. How’s Hardin County’s run game? I know they can’t rely purely on the passing game to win.

Two rbs John Whitley And BB Bumpus. Both good backs. Usually pretty balanced run vs pass

Watching them on film there run game is very average don't want to run if they don't have to. Passing the QB is good on the run and sitting in the pocket. Haven't faced a secondary as fast as Springfield or as tall. There DL comes off the ball great and there LB's attack down hill. Every game i've watched Creekwood, Portland, Jackson North Side, and Lexington . Hardin County was at home...... Played a tight 28 - 21 game at Jackson north side early in the season. Being on the road in a tough environment may effect them some on Offense (Ive seen a lot of false starts). This is a great team and this will a great game!!!

That’s what I was wondering if they’d played a secondary as fast as ours and if they’d played against an aggressive pass rush. I agree, going to be a great game with two very good ball teams.

Even good teams have off nights. Appreciate the info. SHS pass defense will be tested and the team that makes the least mistakes will probably win this game imo.

    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
