We lose a lot of skill players, but the young line, young QB and some good athletes will be back. But, we won't know what we have to work with until we figure out who Elizabethton draws their way! Not supposed to matter anyways as Meigs already figures to run through Regions 1 & 2 to the 2020 semis. May well be the case as their own posters point out they are in a good area where they average 5+ transfers a year...Not sure if that's accurate or not but hard to compete with that when we're losing players...Guess, like always, we'll play with what we got :thumb:

I was just going by what one of your posters said a few weeks ago....In an interview, your principal mentioned Meigs was just a small county school and I thought, "if they get that number of transfers, what does it matter what size county it is"  :roflolk:

Meigs will be good, but we will have to work for it I assure you. Defense is the least of my worries for next year we should be really good defensively again.

Defense worries me a lil...Not run D but CB's

We lose some dang good receivers and DB's...Will have to be some motivated boys to replace them

You guys will be pretty good next year. Like I have said in my opinion you guys have the best QB in the County or is just as good as Rollins. It will be a fun 2 years for you. Hopefully he has a injury free off season.

It’s tough being a Suburb especially now that Elizabethton has a Gold Ball.

Is what it is...

I'm often told in business; if I offered this and that, turned a blind eye to this and that, I could achieve this or that...Sometimes the cost isn't worth the headache the "this and that" causes-----Roll with what ya are

I was just kidding. If Hampton and Cloudland ever combines it will be a thorn in their side. It all comes down to the Parents. I’m glad Elizabethton won it though.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
